It is a complete fertiliser containing Calcium and Magnesium and also contains sulphate in a stable water soluble formula.

The Difference:
Unlike other orchid fertilisers, this formula is calibrated from the macros to micros specifically for orchid growing.
• The ammonium/nitrate ratio promotes deep green leaves unlike all-nitrate blends, and the ratio balances soil pH to
prevent nutrient lockout. Commercial orchid growers always use ammonium/urea containing fertilizers since they
discovered all-nitrate blends slow growth and cause pale leaves. According to lab testing, orchids can absorb both
ammonium and urea directly via the roots without it converting to nitrate.
• This fertiliser is high K which was the industry standard for decades and keeps the lower leaves green and
promotes strong flowering with no flowering after-shock. When flowering, orchids such as Paphiopedilum can use
up to 30% of their total leaf K to grow the flower – this rate is too fast for the plant to keep up with unless it
consistently received adequate Potassium prior to flowering. Combined with the nitrate ratio, the K creates a stable
soil pH without being too acidic unlike some all ammonium/urea fertilisers.
• The micronutrients are also adjusted, for example Molybdenum is slightly elevated since orchids have a harder
time with absorbing it than vegetables. This helps the plants process nitrate efficiently and prevents leaf chlorosis.

Directions:
This fertiliser is used at the rate of 1.5 grams per Liter, approximately ¾ tsp per gallon of water (3.8 L).

When dissolving mix thoroughly and drench the pot and root system with the solution. Flushing the pot to remove
excess salts is not necessary when watered thoroughly – water should drain from the bottom of the pot when
fertilizing.

We recommend soil fertilising due to the low effectiveness of foliar nutrient absorption of micronutrients (due to
nutrient immobility) and the leaf pH preventing adequate macro absorption.

After use, please seal the jar tightly since fertilizer can be hygroscopic.
